#Blur & #FinishLine Review

GearShark Series #4

Author: Cambria Hebert

Rated: 4,5 stars

There’s a new kid in town, and he’s hell on wheels.
From what we’ve heard, it may be because
he knows exactly what hell’s like.
You may know his brother,
the NRR hotshot
(and former GearShark cover model)
It’s only natural a driver with
his background and family connections
has sped his racecar
into the newest, hottest division.
But that’s not all.
Arrow may be following in big bro’s tread marks,
but he doesn’t plan to stay there.
He’s swerving onto the road less traveled…
and a lot more controversial.
he’s opening up about his private struggles with sexuality
to tell a story that’s gone unheard until now.
One thing’s for sure; Arrow may have a painful past,
but his foot is heavy on the accelerator.
With speed like this, he’s bound to leave everything behind
nothing but a #blur.

My Review

Arrow’s story was long awaited, almost since I read about him the first time. He was always on the side, occupying a 2nd place, it was about time he took control.

The book is divided in two parts, the past and the present.

The past is sad, emotional and it can be hard to read, bit it’s necessary to understand why the main characters are that way. Arrow’s transformation in who he is now it’s heart-wrenching, the relationship with his family and what he has to get through to be himself. I loved and hated to have to read it because I already loved Arrow so much. Although, the big surprise carme with Hopper, his past made me cry. I didn’t really like him but I knew there was more to him than what I had read before so I gave him a chance and what a great decission.

The present is pure love and understanding. How two lost and broken souls find each other and collide, how the broken parts complemented. It’s magical. there’s no real angst in this part, but it’s not necessary after the past. The developpement of each character, how they find their way not only together, as humanas too. Also, it’s a sexy, hot book, the sparks between them are visible, you can feel them.

In my opinion, the author, Cambria Hebert, made them justice. It’s a must-read if you’re a fan of this series or this autor, but also if you like this genre.

GearShark Series, #5

Author: Cambria Hebert

Rated: 5 stars

Every race has a finish line.
Where you go after you cross it is what matters most.
And sometimes, that’s the most intriguing.
Here at GearShark, we’ve featured lots of drivers.
All of them are well acquainted with the finish line.
And as race fans, we’re well acquainted with cheering as they cross it.
What we aren’t privy to is riding shotgun, seeing where they drive once the race is over.
Our interviews barely scratch the surface,
offering just a glimpse of the men and women behind the wheel.
The discovery of vanished Motocross sensation Jayson Hamilton,
who has been right under our noses for years, proves secrets abound.
It’s time to dig deep. Look beyond the racetrack at the drivers who continue to pique our interest. In addition to scoring an exclusive, all-access interview with the elusive Jayson Hamilton (his first and only since the death of his fellow racer and partner Matt Lewis),
we’ve caught up with some of our most popular featured men and women in the racing world.
Where are they now?
Who are they now?
What do these hot commodities do when they escape the spotlight?
Rumors of weddings, babies, and new tattoos swirl through the media on a weekly basis.
And though we’re headlining the hashtag #Finishline, we’re far from finished.
In fact, we’re just getting started.
This newest issue of GearShark is jam packed with everything you’ve been dying to know…
and it just might be our biggest page-turner yet.

My Review

It’s the perfect ending. The closure the characters needed. This book was a surprise. It takes time a few months after #Blur

The first two parts of the book are about Arrow and Hopper, they’re now an established couple. There’s no drama just love. It may seem a bit fast how they formalized their relationship but it’s understandable.

Joey (Josie) and Lorhaven are my favorites. I loved their book (#Swag). In this book we have 1/3 of the book in their POV’S. The relationship is at the best and OMG the events that take place. My heart was screaming. I don’t know how say all this without spoilers. So just read it. And we also get to know a bit about Trent and Drew and more.

Cambria did an amazing work with this entire series. I’ve read the Hashtag series and the Gearshark series and I love it, so it’s so sad to see it ending, but I think she wrote the perfect finale. If she writes another book about any of the characters of this series I’d totally read but if she decides that this is the last one then it’s how it should end. (I don’t think she should write another one because with #FinishLine was the ending the characters deserved).

The Goal

The Goal (Off-Campus, 4) by Elle Kennedy.

This is Tucker and Sabrina’s book, you’ve met them in the other books.

It’s been an instahooked with this one. I was waiting for it, but I forgot last minute, thank god I read it in recommendations in a book group.

There are like 3 parts in the book. The first one is more lust-college, the second shows internal problems of and between them and the third one is the final struggles they have to face. If you’ve read the anterior book (The Score) you’ll know there’s a big event happening. Well that’s just part of the drama, though there’s not real big drama. The characters are so not what I think they would be. He’s a perfect gentleman with a cocky side. She’s focus and intelligent. They both make a great team together but don’t quite see it.

I feel silly and weak and I don’t like it. I should be immune to this. I mean, he’s just a guy. I’ve slept with lots of guys before and I’m sure there’ll be many in the future. So why am I all weak-kneed and fluttery around this one?

The book is about how can you face things that life puts you through better when you have someone with you, and someone to fight for.

I’ve read The Mistake and The Score (2&3, not the first one, I’m weird like that) and these books just have something, it’s so sad that this is the last one, though it’s gonna be an spin-off (maybe about Fitzy, I think). I could totally re-read it a few times. Totally recommend it. My fav is The Score, I fell in love with Dean, but the first one to aattract me was Logan, that’s why I started with the second in the series, although there’s something about Garret and Hannah that doesn’t appeal me (though I think I’ll read it soon).

Warning: there’s a really gross character (from his very first scene) but the book is worth it, so.

Next to you.

Review: Next to you by Sandra Antonelli.

Great, great surprise, that’s what this book has been. I found it casually when I searched the word batman in a book’s blog. It’s my first book about forty/fifty aged (actually I learned this fact while I was reading) but I’m really happy I found it. The author knows how to show the start of a friendship between next-door neighbours, the intricate ways they interconnect. The main characters are so different but have so much in common you’ll be waiting for something to happen. The man (William) is so educated, well-behave and elegant you cannot fall a bit in love with him, and the woman (Caroline) is sweet and cute but has a not-so-good backstory that will make you want to know more about her. The ending was surprising (literally the last pages) though there wasn’t much drama.

P.s.:  I had to wait 2 days to read the final 50 or so pages because I didn’t want the book to end.

Huge X3

Huge X3 by Stephanie Brother.

Received and ARC from the author.

It’s a sexy book that will fulfill your wickedest fantasies. You’ll need a very open mind to get the book but you’ll have a very fun time reading it. I liked the book even though I’m not one for those kind of relationships long term. Those would be great for a few months. The book has drama all along. If you want to have a good and hot time for a few hours and want to get some new fantasies/experiences, then this is your book.

Ps.:The heroine, Katelin, could be consider a hero for the women.

Walk the Edge

Walk the edge by Katie McGarry.

At the beginning of the year I found this book but I haven’t been able to read it until now, and I have to say I just love it. Razor and Breanna has so much passion and chemistry. I haven’t read yet the first one, I jump straight to this one and I don’t regret it, but now I want to read the other. This book builds an intriguing story that would make you want to read page after page. Breanna trying to show herself to the world and no letting others get in her way, though it’s really complicated, is impressive, she is really fearless. Razor has demons like everybody else, but his chase him all the time, and in place to continue living he has to let them go. I liked a lot to see them getting better together, that’s something I admire in books and in real life. Also, they’re so cute together. Highly recommended it.

Hello Mister you:

Hello Mister you:
I’ve been waiting for you for a very long time and maybe it is now when destiny decided that we should meet but I was crazy about you before we put our eyes on each other. It’s obvious that you’re not ready for this but I’m taking a risk about it and try to make it, so that way you’ll be attached to me in a way you won’t believe. You are not going to be able to get away from me, you won’t want to spend a single minute without me and I’m so going to enjoy it that no one’s gonna stop me and that’s just reality. There’s just a small thing on my way, that girl you don’t obviously like but still keep in your life, so why don’t change things and meet a real woman that would make you change perspective about things, and we all know you’re gonna love it, so just assumed it that way we can get past that and go to the important things. It’s more than obvious that we have a non-resolve sexual tension, why don’t find a solution to that. I’m sure you would love it, and me too by the way, shall we follow the song and “let’s get physical”. Only an advice the time you prove it there won’t be going back, so let’s affront it and make it real. You and I could be more than just words, looks and those dances that drove both of us crazy, and we know that. Let’s lose ourselves a little bit too much and do what we want, right here right now.
Miss (me).

Pd: Be yourself be Bhaltair.

When I’m not with you I spend counting each minute, and it feels like an eternity until I get to see you again. “Cause it’s you and me and all of the people with nothing to do nothing to lose and it’s you and me and all of the people and I don’t know why I can’t keep my eyes off of you”.
