Having Hope

Having Hope (Blow Hole series, 4) by Tabatha Vargo.

This is the story of Chet Rhodes drummer of the Blow Hole, and Hope Iverson, drummer of the Red Room Sirens. They’re going on tour together. Chet is a ‘live the moment’ guy, drugs, alcohol, sex, parties and rock ‘n roll. He has suffered too much in life and doesn’t want to waste time. Hope is a dreamer, that works hard to have a good life, but also enjoys a good party. They have more things in common than what it seems, just not because of the drum. Throughout the book we see them grow and show how they are, not how they they want the others to see them. Hope is strong and independent, but also needs someone who can fight with her and show her other parts of life that se has hidden for so long. Chet is jealous of the life their band mates have, but he think his opportunity flew away. It’s a really easy to read book and you get caught from the beginning, you can read it as a standalone, though you’ll have a few spoilers of the previous books. I highly recommend reading it, and also I loved that it was about two drummers, boy and girls. The rest of the characters complement the story and some of them, the band girls, make you want toknow more about them. It has even some funny parts, but it’s a bit too dramatic at times.

I started this one without reading the others in the series but now I’m gonna make them a summer read.

Miley Cyrus.

She’s been criticised for act like she wanted to, because she just shows  how she is and defend her friends and her behavior. At the beginning when she was Hannah Montana I didn’t like her, but in the last seasons I just couldn’t deny the good actress and singer she is. The released of Can’t be tamed make a change in my view on her and I started to become her fan because I began to see her as a model to follow. The way she was rebelling against what people think of her for being Hannah Montana, how she just changed and started to show us the woman she was, and after 3 years she returns better than ever and changes all thoughts we had of her. Her look, her songs, how she dances and how she is just make the difference. I wish I could be more like her. I was young like her, now I’m trying to be wild and I hope in a few years I can be free. She’s just the role model almost perfect. I’m gonna go to her concert and I know it’s gonna be awesome. Now I’ve became a smiler. Beyourselfbebhaltair.

Please don’t stop the music.

It does not matter what kind of music you listen to, because what really matters is the feelings you discover in each song. The lyrics, the rhythm o even the silence between each note make a song special. When I’m listening to music I feel different depending on the song, from sad to happy, I feel like dancing or crying maybe even being someone else. However what never cease is the fact that music takes me to my own world.
