#Blur & #FinishLine Review

blur-final-ebooksm.jpg#Blur

GearShark Series #4

Author: Cambria Hebert

Rated: 4,5 stars

There’s a new kid in town, and he’s hell on wheels.
From what we’ve heard, it may be because
he knows exactly what hell’s like.
Lonely.
Scorching.
Unforgiving.
You may know his brother,
the NRR hotshot
(and former GearShark cover model)
Lorhaven.
It’s only natural a driver with
his background and family connections
has sped his racecar
into the newest, hottest division.
But that’s not all.
Arrow may be following in big bro’s tread marks,
but he doesn’t plan to stay there.
He’s swerving onto the road less traveled…
and a lot more controversial.
he’s opening up about his private struggles with sexuality
to tell a story that’s gone unheard until now.
One thing’s for sure; Arrow may have a painful past,
but his foot is heavy on the accelerator.
With speed like this, he’s bound to leave everything behind
nothing but a #blur.

My Review

Arrow’s story was long awaited, almost since I read about him the first time. He was always on the side, occupying a 2nd place, it was about time he took control.

The book is divided in two parts, the past and the present.

The past is sad, emotional and it can be hard to read, bit it’s necessary to understand why the main characters are that way. Arrow’s transformation in who he is now it’s heart-wrenching, the relationship with his family and what he has to get through to be himself. I loved and hated to have to read it because I already loved Arrow so much. Although, the big surprise carme with Hopper, his past made me cry. I didn’t really like him but I knew there was more to him than what I had read before so I gave him a chance and what a great decission.

The present is pure love and understanding. How two lost and broken souls find each other and collide, how the broken parts complemented. It’s magical. there’s no real angst in this part, but it’s not necessary after the past. The developpement of each character, how they find their way not only together, as humanas too. Also, it’s a sexy, hot book, the sparks between them are visible, you can feel them.

In my opinion, the author, Cambria Hebert, made them justice. It’s a must-read if you’re a fan of this series or this autor, but also if you like this genre.

GearShark Series, #5

Author: Cambria Hebert

Rated: 5 stars

Every race has a finish line.
Where you go after you cross it is what matters most.
And sometimes, that’s the most intriguing.
Here at GearShark, we’ve featured lots of drivers.
All of them are well acquainted with the finish line.
And as race fans, we’re well acquainted with cheering as they cross it.
What we aren’t privy to is riding shotgun, seeing where they drive once the race is over.
Our interviews barely scratch the surface,
offering just a glimpse of the men and women behind the wheel.
The discovery of vanished Motocross sensation Jayson Hamilton,
who has been right under our noses for years, proves secrets abound.
It’s time to dig deep. Look beyond the racetrack at the drivers who continue to pique our interest. In addition to scoring an exclusive, all-access interview with the elusive Jayson Hamilton (his first and only since the death of his fellow racer and partner Matt Lewis),
we’ve caught up with some of our most popular featured men and women in the racing world.
Where are they now?
Who are they now?
What do these hot commodities do when they escape the spotlight?
Rumors of weddings, babies, and new tattoos swirl through the media on a weekly basis.
And though we’re headlining the hashtag #Finishline, we’re far from finished.
In fact, we’re just getting started.
This newest issue of GearShark is jam packed with everything you’ve been dying to know…
and it just might be our biggest page-turner yet.

My Review

It’s the perfect ending. The closure the characters needed. This book was a surprise. It takes time a few months after #Blur

The first two parts of the book are about Arrow and Hopper, they’re now an established couple. There’s no drama just love. It may seem a bit fast how they formalized their relationship but it’s understandable.

Joey (Josie) and Lorhaven are my favorites. I loved their book (#Swag). In this book we have 1/3 of the book in their POV’S. The relationship is at the best and OMG the events that take place. My heart was screaming. I don’t know how say all this without spoilers. So just read it. And we also get to know a bit about Trent and Drew and more.

Cambria did an amazing work with this entire series. I’ve read the Hashtag series and the Gearshark series and I love it, so it’s so sad to see it ending, but I think she wrote the perfect finale. If she writes another book about any of the characters of this series I’d totally read but if she decides that this is the last one then it’s how it should end. (I don’t think she should write another one because with #FinishLine was the ending the characters deserved).
